Received a PIN today...what to do what to do

We were planning a trip in October 2015 to return home. Today I received a PIN code for early and late Spring. So now I am debating if the extra savings is worth moving it up. And worrying we may not have time to save to pay it all off. Sigh....

The dates included in PIN are:

1/5-3/21/2015 and 4/9-5/31/2015

Excludes Spring Break for us.
School lets out for Summer 5/21 but then you run into Memorial Day Craziness. Husband said he could swing it at work before March. Daughter is in kindergarten and teacher will be out on maternity leave during Feb and March.

Some of the dates I am looking at are only putting the rates at what we have been quoted for the Fall. Some are really good though. Are there any dates I should avoid in February?

I got it too. The rates are amazing.
I'm actually a little frustrated about this one. We booked a trip for my father-in-law to come with us last year (his own room). So I got this PIN today. Amazing rates. But then I realized it is attached to the father-in-law, not me, so I can't use it. Grrr!

Yikes. Maybe you can still book it - I do not think there is a restriction that he must be on the trip. Some other people on here may have some suggestions. I would hate to loose that rate - I saw Caribbean Beach for $100 a night in January - WOW.

I booked a room for my brother-in-law for a family trip 4 years ago and I get his PIN code offers ALL the time, including this same one today. He will NEVER go back to WDW, yet the PINs are non-transferable. And being an AP holder, I never receive PIN code offers.

Yes, PIN codes are restricted. Whoever receives the offer MUST be staying in the room.

Isn't that so frustrating? The elusive PIN code. I would love to see the system Disney uses to assign the PINs. I've never been able to make any sense of it. Some years, I get a code every other month. Then years go by with nothing. This one is particularly frustrating though. FIL has no interest in going back (nor I in rooming with him!).

If you can go in the spring during flower and garden time, I would take that pin code and book something. I really love March thru late May at WDW. Great weather, Epcot is gorgeous, Crowds manageable....

I love all the seasons at WDW for various reasons but my favorite is spring.

Interesting - I have an AP and I get the passholder discounts and I get a pin offer about every season.

My trip in a few days was booked under a pin sent to my mother.
She has a different name and address but they let me use it with no questions asked.
I told them it was my mom and they said no problem and put me on hold and linked the pin to MDE and then added it to our reservation.

Thank you SO MUCH for saying this! I would have never thought to call since everything I have ever read online said you can't do this. Just called and got a VERY nice agent and he was able to apply the PIN--got 35% off for Wilderness Lodge for Memorial Day! So excited!
