Me too! I brought the Covid home with me, along with tons of souvenirs. Starcruiser lit up my wallet with turbolasers.

I suspected I had it day 4, but was in denial. I mean, I was triple vaxxxed, how bad could it be? ...not all that bad ultimately, but I am hesitant to get cocky.
Ironically, that was my first trip where I was fully vaccinated (I had to delay for medical reasons) and that was the trip where I ended up with COVID. 😐 All I wanted to do was sleep, but it otherwise wasn't too terrible.

I usually comment on “news” posts, and write honest (mostly positive) trip reports.

There is supposed to be a cap on repeat threads with the same topic, yet there are tons of these whining posts that say the same thing over and over.
Fair enough.

Complaining about too much negativity isn't a solution that will make this forum as enjoyable as it could be. We need to model what we want.

I think most of us would enjoy a fun topic. I mean that in the nicest tone possible. It would be great if this forum had more threads about successful park touring tips, and things we see in the parks that we enjoy.

It would also be SO refreshing if, when fellow members do share their frustrations with WDW, we made a little effort to react with a modicum of empathy or offer a solution. Negativity just feeds negativity. We need to model what we want.

Alas though, someone will in all likelihood take a lame pot shot at this post.

That sounds rough, especially if you had to take more time off work, etc. Usually when I get home, there's a fair amount of work to be done, like laundry and getting food.
I work from home, so I had to work the entire way through it. My boss was scheduled to be off that week, so I couldn't take off; I just told his boss that I'd still be working but I'd be taking extra time during the day to sleep and such. I ended up doing grocery pickup (no contact) and having a pizza delivered the day I tested positive (no contact). Laundry and all waited until I was feeling a bit better.

Seriously? If you don't like this thread, why are you even reading it? If it irritates you enough to make remarks then maybe it is not for you? Starting a positive thread would be a good thing to do. I don't participate in or read threads that I don't like. Seems like a waste of time to me.

Someone started a thread about where to find positive news about WDW and there were so many rude, negative comments posted in response that the thread had to be severely edited. I think that's what the above poster may have been referring to.

I definitely noticed some things on my recent visit - however given the state of things in the workforce and the fact that literally every business everywhere is having trouble getting enough staff especially with the skilled crafts I fully expected to see some things. I would say that given all that and that a Hurricane had just ripped through the region that they did pretty well considering the less than ideal circumstances facing every business that requires a lot of people and most issues were minor. We did face some ride downtimes but most of them were fairly brief and we still managed to get on everything that did go down.

So move on and quit whining about the threads you don't like.

He wasn’t whining. He was making a point about how there are so many similar posts people start about how unmagical Disney is these days. But hey good to know that internet rudeness is still alive and well.

I would just appreciate one catch-all “not-so-magical” thread, where all these folks can get together and list their grievances, and if they don’t use it, the mods move it there.

I promise I’d stay out of it.

Oh I agree that similar threads should be combined into one. It would decrease the amount of whining on here.

Just to add in - on my recent trip, one Magic Kingdom cast member called me “Hoss” (rhymes with boss). His cast member costume was disheveled, bow tie untied and the shirt was unbuttoned revealing his dirty T-shirt underneath.

Also why are the LL lines so long. They were never this long with FP. Some LLs are 15-20 minutes long.
Of course the T Shirt had to be dirty.
