When you get off of the Maelstrom ride at the Norway pavillion in EPCOT, you are escorted into a theater to watch a movie. Just before you walk in, there is a talking bench to the right of the theater doors.

President Clinton is the only president to wear a Mickey Mouse Tie, in the Hall Of Presidents.

The haunted mansion is actually a hidden mickey in itself. When you are first escorted into the mansion, you are in Mickey's "face". There are actually two rooms you can go into from there, making the wait faster. These are Mickey's "ears". Scotte: It is true that in the foyer at the haunted mansion there are two "elevator" rooms. This is to accomodate a higher number of visitors during busy times. In the abstract it could be construed to be a hidden mickey, although the WED designers probably had higher load capacity in mind.

The water fountain behind Cinderella's Castle (next to Tinkerbell's Treasures) Has Cinderella in it holding a bird. If you stand directly in front of Cinderella and curtsey to her, you will see the crown behind her painted onto the wall go onto her head. Dannielle: This secret is on the "Once Upon A time" training tour that all Magic Kingdom Cast Members go through.

If you are in the car, almost at the very end of the ride, where you pass the couple, one is an opera singer woman with a viking had and long braided hair, behind her is a hidden mickey. Supposedly not many people have found this one.

At the Magic Kingdom, on the Haunted Mansion, when you're passing through the part where the ghosts are all dancing around a long rectangular table, there are plates set up on the table to form the shape of Mickey's face.

The mosaic mural in the fourth-floor lobby of Disney's Contemporary Resort was created in 1971 with 1,800 one-square-foot tiles and took 18 months to construct. Look closely: there's a five-legged goat facing the monorail track.

A basketball court can be found within the top of Matterhorn mountain at Disneyland.

The musical staff notes across the registration desk at Disney's Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter spell out the first verse of "When the Saints Go Marching In."

Head straight through the Innovations East, and head towards Horizons, you will spot a set of restrooms to the left. You will see a couple of water fountains that there that are said to talk.

Some of the coins in the fountains are permanently affixed to form hidden Mickeys

Talking garbage can… somewhere near cosmic rays… need confirmation on this one. Thank you WDW4ME: I can confirm that the talking trash can does exist. It rolls around tommorowland and talks with guests who are near it. (Look for the cast member (disguised as a guest) close by who has a microphone and remote control).

Want To Ride in the Front Car of the Monorail? Resort guests are welcome to ride in the front car of the monorail. when boarding, just ask the attendant if the seat is available. The front car can accommodate 4 people in addition to the operator. It's yours just for the asking.

private club (the only place in the park where alcohol is served) is housed in Disneyland's New Orleans ASquare .Club 33, open only to members and their guests, has been a part of New Orleans Square since 1967. Originally intended as a private facility where Walt Disney could entertain park sponsors and lessees, Club 33 did not open until several months after Disney's death. The club's facilities were made available to the public through limited memberships, and Club 33 has operated unobtrusively in Disneyland's New Orleans Square ever since

basketball court: it was done for some sort of zoning or tax reason. i read about it in an imagineering book a while back. something along the lines of by classifying it as a gymnasium, they were able to use a california zoning or tax loop-hole to their advantage. maybe to build the mountain as big as they did or something.

sorry about the vagueness!

I have actually heard that too - something about structures could only be that high if they were for sports, so they put the basketball hoop up there to comply with the restriction. I think I have also heard that this is not true, because the Matterhorn was built before this law was passed. Try www.snopes.com I think I read about it there.

Here's a few more neat "Did You Know..." facts:

:) When Walt Disney World turned 15 years old in 1986, prizes were given out every 15 seconds. Guests were given a ticket upon entering the park that let them know if they won anything from small buttons to full-sized automobiles!

:) One inch of water off the top of the Living Seas tank can fill a regular-sized swimming pool - That's about 20,000 gallons! The entire Living Seas tank holds a total of about 5,700,000 gallons of water!

:) The elaborate mural at the entrance to the Land pavilion is made up of over 150,000 individual tiles.

It is designed to represent the Earth's rich soil with colorful tiles made from glass, tile, and marble.

The two sides of the mural are exactly alike, except for one Emerald green tile on the right hand mural placed there by the artist (representing her birthstone) as her "signature."

:) Walt Disney World was originally planned to not include a Pirates of the Caribbean boat ride, as it was felt that the pirates theme was not "exotic" enough for Florida.

:)The face of Madame Leota in the Haunted Mansion is that of Leota Toombs, who was originally brought in test test the effects and was ultimately kept in the final version.

Madame Leota's voice, however, was performed by Eleanor Audley. You may not know the name, but if you've ever seen the Disney animated classic, "Sleeping Beauty" or Cinderella, you will recognize her distinctive voice as Maleficent and Lady Tremaine.

Actually, no. This is just a myth. That law didn't come into affect untill AFTER it was built. Besides, they wouldn't let Disney get away with that. One time, a CM brought a basketball hoop for the people that have to go outside and scale the mountain or something. I read it on some WDW Myth page.

There is a half court up there. Well, its in what looks like a storage space, dimly lit, with props and support structure all around. The floor has painted on it a mini half court, and there is a hoop on the wall... not exactly a court, but you can shoot hoops up there!

Be sure to head over to Tom Sawyer's Island nice and early...

Hidden throughout the island are paintbrushes. If you find one, return it to a Cast Member and get a front-of-the-line pass to any attraction!

From what I understand the reason the hoop is up there is for the people at the top of the mountain when they have delays. I would assume those people would be whoever does the tinkerbell flight and those that assist her. (with the harnesses and such) Since it takes a while to get up there they can get stuck if they have weather problems and such...thus something for them to do besides sitting around
