as a municipal employe i can tell you that it is near impossible to keep up with the stupidity and destructive behavior of the public here .. multiply that by about a bazillion for WDW and thats what you end up with

I must disagree... Walt kept Disneyland very clean... it was repainted every night! That sign should have been replaced before someone had the chance to take that picture. It's really sad.

Then our next question is - how LONG has it been like that?

I would say quite a while. . . and perhaps put a temporary plaque over the area.

I always felt that the Leave A Legacy stones should be in a place where that park is located between both future world and world showcase. I think it will look more proper sitting between two themed sections of EPCOT, plus the nice park setting will add to the charm.

That way they can make the entrance/mall area a nice green area once again. Hint Hint...add the scultpure fountain.:lol:

Sometimes things are also overcleaned. If Custodial pressure washes the sign everynight, it could cause wear and tear on the sign also.
