Real-Life Disney Commercial Experiences

It pretty much goes without saying that Walt Disney World is the best vacation spot on the planet....yet, if you watch the commercials, some of the things that go on in them is stuff that usually you'll never see happen to anyone or experience yourself. Has anyone had any particularly wonderful experiences during their trip that would seem like it would belong in a WDW commercial?

Yessssssss!

Last month was our kids' first trip to WDW. The first evening we went to Epcot and stayed for Illuminations. My ds4 is usually afraid of everything so we weren't sure how he would do with all the noise of the fireworks. Happy surprise, he was entralled by it! Here's the scene for the commercial:

Ds4 on daddy's shoulders, watching Illuminations. Oohing and aaahing over each new element. He had the biggest smile on his face too. It was such a beautiful moment, I got choked up just watching. The only downside was that dh was not able to watch ds' face. DH was mighty happy just listening to his commentary.

When I first went to WDW, I was 4, and afraid of costume characters. We stayed at the Polynesian, but there was a spot where there was a place to greet Goofy, and we had to pass him every time to get to the monorail. One time, my Mom and Dad finally decided to introduce me to Goofy. Of corse, I was scared, but didn't cry or anything. I jsut stayed close to Mom. Although Goofy was really nice, he patted me on the head and shook my Dad's hand. I left there after that feeling quite brave and happy.

I have a similar story, imagineer boy, when I was really young (probably the same age, 4), I was dying to meet minnie (I dont know why, but I liked minnie when i was little) We were eating at the Odysse (in epcot) and they had a little show with all the characters in their retro futuristic outfits (w/the rainbows) and the characters came around afterward (sort of like a character meal, I suppose). Well, the whole time, I wanted minnie to come to the table. When she got there, though, I started screeming. So the next year, I was determined to meet minnie w/o screeming. So I ran up to minnie (the following year) and was so proud of the fact that I didn't cry... or so I was told. :)

Right Here!

My Sister was five years old at the time, and we all were waiting for the Light Parade in MK to begin (this was at 11:45pm). We all were standing/sitting on the side of the road all tired and worn out from such a wonderful day at MK, when a CM sweeping the street came up to my sister, and bent down and asked her; "And what was your favorite ride today sweetie?" It was SOOooOo a Commercial moment! My mom to this DAY remembers it so clearly, and now I too see the beauty in that also.:animwink:

Years back when arrived at Epcot right as it opened. A beautiful morning, fresh, cool morning air, that special disney feeling you get was ripe in the breeze. The sun hit Spaceship Earth like a million childrens smiles. And on top of Spaceship Earth, greeting all is beloved guests with hearty wave was no other than the mouse himself. Mickey, Yes Mickey Mouse stood atop that beautiful sphere. I almost cried-I thought he was going to jump. No, wait, that was the commercial, I need to quit drinking.

Actually, there are so many moments that could be commercial material while your there. Most go unnoticed though because they really are the norm there.

You were probably screaming because Minnie was wearing that scary rainbow out fit.

this would be more of a humorous commercial for disney....

db3- (running to mickey....) "Mickey Mickey....it's me....Brant..."
(trips...falls...)
db14- (runs to help him...but notices no one is with mickey....so literally jumps over Brant...) "Mickey it's me....Joey"
(runs to mickey a little to fast...can't really stop...trips over Mickey...)
db3- (laughs...runs to mickey...) " It's me Brant...I knew you liked me better then him..."

On our vacation in March we were just exiting the Train Depot area to go onto Main street and this little girl, like 5ish, runs away from her parents and infront of us so taht she can see the castle... she put her hands against her chest and goes... oh, it's beautiful" then she turned back to her family and goes, "Come on Dad, let's go find her." Referring to Cinderella I'm sure... It was priceless... especially because she meant every word that was coming out of her mouth.
My sister, father, and I were the only three who saw it and we laughed and joked about it the rest of our trip....

Too cute!!!! I would cry if I ever saw it as a commercial!!!

aww...that is precious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember when I was about 7 or 8 I was chosen to pull the sword from the stone. All the big guys who were before me could'nt get it out and when I did, I must have screamed so loud that people in DL in Cali could here me. My mom got it on video and the look on my face was priceless. Later I ran up to Mickey and hugged him and told him what happened.
