REAL Disney Babies?

We had a thread a looong time ago about people dying at WDW/DL....but does anyone know how many babies have been born there? (This isn't a trivia question....I have no idea, that's why I'm asking! ;)) Also, if you do have a "Disney Baby", does Disney do anything special for you (other than getting mother and child to a hospital)

Tyler, Monorail Lime, tiggerman, etc. Is there anything in your procedure manual (or whatever Disney calls their guidelines) for what to do if a woman goes into labor while in WDW? (aside from the obvious ...get medical help! ;))

Seriously, I know there's a medical facilty on site....would a bus driver go directly there (sorry folks, but we're making a detour before we get to the MK) or pull over and radio for help? What if it's just contractions? Would you continue to your destination and meet an ambulance there?

I hope you'll never need to use the information, but is it covered in your orientation?

I remember having this kind of orientation in one of my Custodial classes, along with general emergencies and such. There is a code for Ambulance for the radio (I don't remember it right now) and there's the whole clearing the area and calming Guests thing... It's been a while, I suppose regular CMs will be able to answer a LOT better, Mom.

I know the code for the radio, but I better not say it aloud or all these guests around could panic when they hear it at the park! :animwink:

I don´t remember seeing any mother close to give birth in WDW while I was there. When a baby is born in Aeromexico, mexican main airline, he/she will travel for free for the rest of his life! Maybe Disney will give him a good-for-life-pass? :D Would be nice, huh? :animwink:

It's a rarity, because the wisk them off to the hospital so quickly now. But it happens every so often.

I read the recently had one at DL.

I did have a guest faint on me during candellight processional and we called an 'Alpha Unit' (ambulance) to help her out. I think it was reedy creek who came to the rescue. As for hospitals I don't know where they're located near WDW, but that would be cool to have a child in WDW!
