It's a worse balance but, to me, less risk if Disney attempted to fix the balance. If they decided to make the Cabins cheaper, the increase could be spread across Studios, 1BR, and 2BR. At Poly, it's ONLY the Studios that are at risk of getting more expensive.
Really not that big of a deal. Lots of rooms to spread it over. With the demand on studios as a whole, that's where increases would happen anyway.
Those things were built only to divide up a sell a ton of smaller contracts...nothing more. You buy points...not a room.

. David's has a cost calculator with an interface I find incredibly useful. To me, it makes comparing prospective nights very easy and I usually like it more than doing the math with point charts.
