I get the same exact problem with my RCT3! I thought it was that I didn't have a fast enough computer, but I have over 2GB of memory.

The lag time gets even worse if you switch you park to night time mode.

You need a major graphics processor to even think of running this game at night. The system memory doesn't really help that much for the night time shadows.

I would love to see someone create a version of MK in the game - it can be incredibly realistic. Heck Disney should do it and charge people to download it, I could ride PoTC while at work :D

I would be awesome if there was a Disney Roller Coaster Tycoon.

I'm still crossing my fingeres for a Roller Coaster Tycoon 4 with the Disney parks. Has anyone heard about any future games of Roller Coaster Tycoon?

I downloaded it 5 months ago and played it. Its fun to look at, but horrible to play. After just 1 minute your park rating goes to zero, and literally thousands of guests get lost and mad. The entire landscape is pavement/walkways, which means guest have no clue where there going. The que walkway isnt available on all rides, so guest walk aimlessly towards space mountain, only to turn around once they get to the ride. Again, its fun to look at the detail, but a nightmare to play.

Detail.......4/4 stars

Game play.........1/4 stars

Fun details to look at.....The HM, TTTC, Monorail, and Main street are the highlights. Splash mountain is not featured on this because the designer (zet93) used blueprints from the 80's to build this version.

Interesting, but I don't think it's going to matter having one system devoted to it. The problem is with the program - I have a core 2 duo E6600 with 4 GB RAM, and an 8800 GTS graphics card. Still can't run a half park at night without major lag time. All monitoring software shows the system isn't even using 50% of either processor core, nor more than 2 GB RAM. Granted I do run the game at Max graphics settings and resolutions - I just think it looks horrible and isn't worth it at anything less.

If you do end up finding a way to make it work let me know. I would like to complete my RoE take off one day.

hmm well ive got my in game settings on normal so i dont know maybe that might help.

erm the way im doing it is because i have three towers, one tower (the DELL XPS which i have had boosted too) just runs the game no stings attached, another is where i store all of my downloaded stuff that i then transfer over to whereever and the third one is my general computer.
its kinda complicated because i got my brother in law to wire it all up because hes an IT technition.
it took him ages to set it all up for.

i dont know what u can do other than take your resolution settings down a bit.
il try and find new ways though so il keep u posted.

EXACTLY.

If you want to TRULY recreate the park, the entire thing will be mostly pathways, which the guest don't work well with. It simply just doesn't work.

Your options are: build the perfect rec and have the guests basically not going on anything, or water it down and make the layout easier for them.
