Looks like we might be in luck this year with a possible RCT3 coming out. but we won't know for sure unil E3 in May I believe. I also heard that Chris Sawyer was going to come back and make it seeing that he was upset by the addons, etc. There might also be a new game engine in the works also.

I also saw something about disney world I believe....but I don't know any german so I don't know how to translate it to english. If anyone else knows german or knows how to translate, then could you help us out. THanks

Now My Words on this..

Im Hoping they will include more rides than scenery. I would like to see alot of new Coasters, Flat Rides, Many More and Possibly a Nighttime MODE if it can be ever invented.. I would like to see the park light up at night with all those tinkling lights all over. It'll look so cool. Possibly a walk in mode where you can walk in the park to look around at ur rides u have created n all that.

3D mode.. that would be nice but I like it either way.

Hopefully this game will be made and be much better than RCT 2.

I love the nighttime mode! it would be challanging too, to keep rides intersting by adding spotlights, 'glowinthe dark' parts of the tracks, etc. excellent idea. please go work for the RCT people. :)

This is very interesting!

I have RC 1, but I didn't get 2.. because well.. it looked the same to me. I will get 3, if it happens to be different from the other two. A lot more rides would be great.

I'd like to see more attractions, like shows, flat rides, coasters, dark rides, the ability to use Anamatronics, and also a lot of scenery items for rides and just for the park. A nighttime mode would be awesome, and i'd like to see fireworks to be able to be used for a nighttime show. A parade would be cool too. And also a mode to build a real hotel for the park, where all the guests could stay at, and they could all have cars and parking garages or parking lots could be built. That would be a sweet RCT3, cause it'd be like you're running a real theme park resort.

Thanks for finding and posting the article! Hopefully the music files will be mp3 and replacing them will be a supported feature.

RCT2: Time Twisters has animatronic figures, but they aren't for rides, just scenery, so you can't make the people wait in line to see it. It is only for adding onto rides that travel around, like rollercoasters or ghost train vehicles, monorails are good to have animatronic figures around. But other than that you can't get an animatronic show...ThemPark the first one had really good shows such as the Clown Show where you could see it go on but it wasnt animatronic and that game probably wont work on the pcs of today, you would need a really old pc fore if you ran it on a pc that is just a little old the game would be set to the slowest speed but still respond as if it was on high speed due to the speed of the pc...but thats getting off topic.

Eh..id rather have a transport tycoon 2...much better game. RCT1 was amazing..RCT2 was rushed and..well..insufficiant. RCT3 is going to be more of the same slop. Im about as anxious for this as i am for sims2 (and...in case you didnt already know..i HAAAAAAAAATE the sims...a game that you have to buy 9 times in order for it to ALMOST be a good game)

I can't wait for the Sims 2 also, but I think if done right, RCT3 can be done better than the first one.

I'm also waiting for Half-Life2.

If you haven't seen already, the SIMS2 will be far supperior to the SIMS. You get to see the SIMS actually grow up and get old, you have lighting that is better than the first one...verything will be better...:D

Eh...they are going to PURPOSLY leave out features so that you are forced to by over 15 expansion packs. They refused to do a good job right off the bat.

We now have RCT Deluxe, with the addon packs, corkscrew and loop coasters, Disney Coaster, and Zoo Tycoon, which is mine, but I have yet to play!
Does anyone know if the RCTD have the same features as 2???

New Atari Titles Revealed

February 03, 2004 - Atari revealed some new titles during their financial shiznit yesterday. The most exciting (although anticipated) announcement for me was that of a full 3D RollerCoaster Tycoon game from Chris Sawyer, due out late 2004.

We'll apparently see new Matrix games at E3, with Shiny's Enter The Matrix sequel presumably being one, although details of the other titles is a mystery. Godzilla will stomp its way (Godzilla is asexual ya? Or was that just in the so-so film?) to the Playstation II and Xbox, and a couple of PSP titles are in the works, presumably to be launch titles as they're slated as being released late this year.
