Does anyone know why Ray Bradbury was so involved with Walt Disney? They seem like two completely different people! (I'm actually kinda glad the original EPCOT wasn't built, because I always picture the dystopic society in Fahrenheit 451)
Today I just read The Disney Geeks blog whose July 11th entry quoted a letter by Ray Bradbury writing on Disneyland, which I think gives some insight to the question at hand. I think Mr. Bradbury basically feels Walt Disney was somewhat of a kindred spirit in that they both appreciated where their imaginations could take them. http://disneygeeks.blogspot.com/
Last year I had to write a report on Ray Bradbury. I planned on touching a bit on his connection with Disney, but ended up losing ten points because the paper was more about Disney than Bradbury!
