Ray Bradbury

Does anyone know why Ray Bradbury was so involved with Walt Disney? They seem like two completely different people! (I'm actually kinda glad the original EPCOT wasn't built, because I always picture the dystopic society in Fahrenheit 451)

Today I just read The Disney Geeks blog whose July 11th entry quoted a letter by Ray Bradbury writing on Disneyland, which I think gives some insight to the question at hand. I think Mr. Bradbury basically feels Walt Disney was somewhat of a kindred spirit in that they both appreciated where their imaginations could take them.

Last year I had to write a report on Ray Bradbury. I planned on touching a bit on his connection with Disney, but ended up losing ten points because the paper was more about Disney than Bradbury!
