Jay Rasulo, president of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, recently was appointed to the newly created United States Travel and Tourism Promotion Advisory Board, whose focus is to increase the number of international visitors to the U.S.
The advisory board contains 15 U.S. travel and tourism industry experts.

"I am proud to be part of this landmark effort by the federal government to promote international visitation to the United States," Jay said. "I look forward to working with my colleagues in the travel and tourism industry on the challenge of trying to keep the United States among the leading tourist destinations in the world."

Maybe he'll be able to put some sense into your president's head. Man, what a nightmare he's created for thousands of people, not to mention air companies all over the world, specially now during the Pan games.

He's staying put. It's just an advisory board, like a board of trustees. He's going to keep his job and add this role to his title.

I think he's a good fit for the board. He just came from overseas in Paris and is now in the U.S. He's seen it from both perspectives and I think he will bring a lot to the board.

This sounds like an excellent thing for both the tourism industry as a whole and Disney in general. I wonder who else is on this board?
