1- Scuba Mickey isn't scheduled. It's such a specialized role that there are only a handful of performers on property that can even do the role. It's reserved for special events. Rare characters.. check the Toontown Teardrop in the Magic Kingdom :) And attend special events (Hallowen Party, Princess/Pirate Party)
2- Buy books :) The hidden mickeys book is a good one, as are the Imagineering field guides. Also, use the search function here and look at stuff :)
3- The Garden Grille is my personal favorite :slurp:

I agree with MKT with numbers 1 and 2.

Number 3 - I enjoy Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's. It depends upon which characters you want to see. The food is great at both places.

Good luck deciding! :)

there is no place to actually find a "rare" character... sometimes you can find some in the teardrop over by the train station in Toontown. The places they put "random" characters are MK in Town Square, EPCOT in Character Connection in the hallway, and DAK at the entrance. Scuba Mickey is at the Living Seas every so often its not advertised so you'll just have to go in and check every so often.

The best place for character meal in my opinion is Chef Mickey's Character Breakfast in the Contemporary.. but thats my opinion!

Ironically, I'm a passing acquaintance with the Scuba Mickey instructor, Wayne Mitchell. He devised a way for the character performer to equalize without having any actually access to their ears.

Actually, it is standard dive procedure on being able to clear out your nose, ears, and face mask when diving. Nothing special was developed on how to make it happen while being friends with Mickey.

I'm fully aware... I'm a NAUI/SSI master diver, and a former character performer.

How are you able to do this without actually having access to your nose?

The easiest way is to just wear nose plugs, or wear a purge mask. But that is not low profile enough when friends with Mickey.

true enough... the nose plugs make sense to me :)

Are there schedules available that list which characters will be out in the "teardrop" in Toontown for each day?

Nope. There aren't characters out there every day, and when they are, it's just for training new performers.

I saw Scuba Mickey in the water once a year or two ago while dining at the Coral Reef Restaurant. It was VERY neat and all the kids sitting up against the glass certainly had a very memorable experience.

Wasn't Mickey in the tanks a lot more many years ago? I remember seeing him more often I guess, but that could just be a coincidence.
