Okay, I've added Haunted Mansion to the poll. My apologies for not realizing that it qualified as a dark ride - the thread in the Disneyland forum that this was inspired by didn't include it either, so that's probably why.

Carousel of Progress. Not only do we love the song, the details in each scene, and the whole nostalgia thing, we enjoy sitting in the cool darkness for 20 minutes. We ride it as often as we ride HM.

For me personally, there is a clear first tier of dark rides: Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Spaceship Earth... I would have included The Great Movie Ride in that, but

That being said, I love all dark rides and anything with animatronics in general... PURE MAGIC!

Uh, Tower of Terror isn't a dark ride. It's a thrill ride that happens to be indoors. If it qualifies as a dark ride, then I guess so do Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Test Track, and Dinosaur qualify as well.

Haunted Mansion wins this for sure. Peter Pan follows it. I am surprised Pan is as close to Haunted Mansion though. The lines were just too long the last two times we went to Magic Kingdom so I never got on Pan. Even getting a fast pass didn't give you a lot of options. Honestly, I love that ride, but it has been running since 1971, haven't they figured out a better way to load faster? A 3 minute ride should never be 45+ minutes of a line.
