The world needs more people like Randy!! I cried soo hard when he died!! I'm even getting misty eyed thinking about it now:(

He was truly a great man and will be sorely missed!!!

On a side note, I wonder if his family gets free lifetime visits to Disney and their resorts for stays??? That would be totally cool if they did!!:sohappy:

I keep it handy for two reasons. Inspiration when needed and a reminder how important my son is.

WOW! You are great...how nice & touching:)
Enjoy your up coming trip. If you have a chance to see the plaque please take a picture and post ....I'm having trouble with the link that was posted. If you can't no worry....hopefully I'll see it for myself on my trip in June.

Thanks again

Here's the pic: [I think twitter has limits on how much an image can be linked to, so after a while it stops being viewable]

Does anyone know what happened to this? I've seen in in the past, but I was at MK for a few hours yesterday and it was no longer there? Was it only intended to be temporary?

I know this is a thread from way back when but I am taking a class called the Sociology of Death and Dying, one of our assignments was to watch The Last Lecture. I had no idea who Randy Pausch was until seeing this and WOW what an insperation! Anyway I am wondering if the plaque is still there. Does anyone know?

Oh and if you have never heard of Randy Pausch or The Last Lecture I would encourage you to check it out.

I have that as one of my pictures on my iPhone. Last time we were there it was still there, and I'm glad to see that it is. We always stop and read it - I'm hoping to get that into my 13 year old son's head!

I just watched the lecture, and it is quite inspiring. I also noticed a little thing that made me smile...

If you watch the part of the video where his students are displaying their Virtual Reality work, the ending to the one called "Hello.World" seems to be influenced by the short film "Rejected" by animator Don Hertzfeld... Here's the links for comparison:
