I know my past threads have been stupid and meaningless,(lol)but I have a lot of random questions.:confused:

1.what is the storyline of POTC ?is it like the movie?
2.what is a dole whip?
3.How much are mickey and minnie ears hats?(budget stuff...)
4.is the haunted mansion REALLY scary?
you can tell I havent been to wdw yet.:cry: :eek: (yes.you heard right)lol

1. No real story...certainly nothing like the film.
2. Soft serve, frozen pineapple treat...like sherbert sort of...
3. Not much...$8 or so?

1. As Lee said, no real story line, however, it's a fun ride. Not at all like the movie, the movie has references to the ride, which you will probobly recognize when you ride it.
2. Soft Serve Pineapple Ice Cream
3. Not sure
4. No, but for the younger kids, there are parts that may cause them to jump, like a sudden noise does in a quiet room, however, they won't come out crying after riding though, if anything, they'll want to ride it again.

Re. the scary factor of Haunted Mansion - Most people find it fun, but I have seen a few small kids somewhat terrified in the pre-show.

If you want scary - head to Dinosaur, I know more than one adult that this ride scares.

:eek: dinosaur !! ahh, that ride scares me to death, but its so much fun. I was scared going into the haunted mansion at first, yes i know, sad..but it was more fun than i expected !

2.what is a dole whip? Delicious.

3.How much are mickey and minnie ears hats?(budget stuff...) Get yours on Main Street and you can have your name stitched on for free.

4.is the haunted mansion REALLY scary? Nah. But for kids afraid of the dark, it might be only because it's pretty much all in the dark.

That ride still scares my sister, and she has been on it like 10 times. Last time we went on, she somehow forgot which side the last 2nd to last sighting of the Carnotaurus(picture spot) was on, so I told her most of the bad stuff happens on the left, then I broke the news to her, when the ride started. You should have seen her face! :lol: :sohappy:

I hate the Dinosaur ride but I ride it everytime. You never see my face in the picture as I hold my head down. I couldn't tell you a thing about that ride (except its kinda jerky) because I close my eyes everytime lol. You can flip me drop me whatever I just don't like Dinosaur lol

Mmmm, dole whips are good. And while I don't think Haunted Mansion is scary at all some of my younger cousins think it's scary. They don't like the preshow and the end when the ghost 'follows you home.' I always tell them that the ghosts probably don't follow you home because at the beginning of the ride your ghost host tells you that the ghosts are too sensitive to light and stuff.....

That's correct. Dole Whips are to be budgeted for, and not to be missed! (Although I actually prefer the Dole Whip Float - dole whip in Dole Pinapple Juice! :slurp: )

That explaination is so nice. Good for you to find a way to quell their fears. :)
BTW, I love your name. My daughter is a Brook also (no E in hers).

Agreed about the HM. I went with a six year old once (my aunt's friend's kid) and he was fine with the ride until they said that the ghost will follow him home. I don't remember how we explained it to him, but somehow we did. (This was a few years ago.) The preshow also scared my cousin on her first trip. I almost always hear some frightened screams during the preshow from some youngsters. My nephew was scared of it when he was 8 (to the point that we had to skip Grim Grinning Ghosts whenever it came on the official album when he was around). The funny thing is that he was fine on ToT (which scares a lot of people too, including my 20 year old brother and 27 year old ex-boyfriend). I know all of this has already been mentioned, but just thought I'd throw my accounts with kids on HM out there. It's possibly something to consider if there will be young kids on the trip.

What are Dole Whips? Delicious, addicting, unbelievable, a requirement for every time I enter the Magic Kingdom from here on in...enough adjectives?

As for the Haunted Mansion, the scariest part is right at the beginning, at the end of the stretch room sequence. When the Ghost Host says "There's always MY way," the room goes dark, lightning flashes, a figure hanging is visible through the celing, and a woman screams. It's really more startling than anything and is over within about 5 seconds. Everything after that is more funny than scary.
