Random Restaurant Question

There used to be a retaurant at the Studios, I think I went in '98. It was kind of hidden and had an Aladdin theme, maybe even an Aladdin name. It was a buffet and had characters. I just remember really enjoying the food and being able to walk right in.

Does anyone remember it or know the name?

And why did it close?

Thanks in advance.

The camels shown in that picture actually have an interesting history. From The Walt Disney World Trivia Book:

The camels...were first used in Aladdin's Royal Caravan Parade at Disney-MGM Studios. When that parade ended in 1995, they were relocated to the Soundstage Restaurant in the Studios, which closed in November 1998. Later they became a part of the Magic Carpets ride when it opened in 2001.

And of course with the closing of the restaurant also came the closing of the Catwalk Bar at the adjacent Brown Derby. It was up on the second floor, overlooking the soundstage. When the building was re-purposed into a theater, they couldn't have the bar up there anymore looking down on the stage. (Though for a little while, it may have been open after all of the day's shows were done)
