Okay, so here are a couple questions I have about the Magic Kingdom.

Fell free to answer or add to the list :)

1.) Why is the Haunted Mansion located in Liberty Square? Is that the only place where they could fit it in? I cant see it in Fantasyland, or Adventureland (maybe there), or tomorrowland, or frontierland.

2.) do the underground tunnels connect to the other parks?

The Haunted Mansion is in Liberty Square because the architecture of the house fits in with the theme of Liberty Square-it's colonial (I think).

sounds about right! colonial is the style (at least in LS) though, HM reminds me more of Victorian (don't hold me to that though)...either way, it works for me!

Actually, it's kinda cool that the Mansion is the only attraction in a different land in each kingdom:
Disneyland - New Orleans Square
MK- Liberty Square
Paris - Frontierland
Tokyo - Fantasyland

Maybe I am stupid and haven't been paying attention, but what is a "bump"? Anyways, I believe that on the Keys to the Kingdom tour, they told us that Haunted Mansion is there because not only does it fit the architecture, but the story line fits into that time, colonial period.

Actually the HM has no offical storyline.........even the one used durring the Keys To The Kingdom Tour is based on CM stories...pretty much every CM has their own version of it.

I'm assuming they mean "At what time does the 3:00 parade reach this part of the route" when they say "what time is the 3:00 parade?" Kind of like how most people will say "hey guys" instead of "hey gals" to a group of women these days.

If you notice, the buildings in Liberty Square are from later and later dates as you move to the north. By the time you get to the Haunted Mansion, you are in the Hudson River in the mid-1800s. I guess that's why the Mansion never seemed very unusual to me in its architecture -- too close to home.

And the knight is missing from the roof because it's always night inside!  :hammer:
