i searched some other sites and guide books and could not find this information so sorry if I'm repeating another post

questions #1: Do fixed price meals (ie Akershus and 1900 Park Fare) include tax and tip?

question #2: is there a minimum age for booking solo meals?

question #3: If I want to just order dessert and a drink at the Sci-Fi Dine in Theater (as the unofficial guide recommends) am I allowed to or will they say no and want more money from me?

questions #4: Is it worth going to Akershus if I'm not really that interested in the princesses (I hear some people just go for the food and atmosphere and since I like eating at the castle I was wondering if it is a good idea, although I wouldn't mind the princesses too much)?

question #5: how far in advance should I book a meal at 1900 Park Fare (breakfast) or Akershus (dinner)?

#1 - No, tax and gratuity are extra.

#2 - No minimum age, but certain bookings require a credit card to secure the reservation or pay for it at time of booking. If you're too young to have a credit card...

#3 - I don't believe there are minimum order requirements, but I honestly don't know, having never been in the situation to ask.

#4 - Some people rave about the food, others find it passable. The menu is reasonably varied, but eclectic. Hard to know if it's worth it without knowing your tastes.

#5 - It depends a lot on what time of year you're going to be there and how flexible you are on what seating time you want. If you're going in August/September [when free dining is rumoured], you'll be lucky to get seating now, other times of year [except big holidays] you can usually get in with a week or more notice if you're flexible on timings. If you want a specific time, call 180 days out.

DD17 and I did Akershus for lunch - more to try the food than for the princesses. Ended up enjoying both and would do it again. DD's BarBQ pork was excellent and the cole slaw was the best I have ever tasted.
