Totally OT, but I just read Bunny's blog about brown bread. I didn't realize that that was a regional thing. We've always had it here _ can remember my grandmother baking it in a can too. :shrug:

I've never heard of that.
I've seen bread in a can, but I don't know anyone who'd ever used it.

Do you just slice it, right out of the can?
Is it really bread-like? Or is it cakey?
We generally slice it and heat it up in a buttered frying pan. It's really delicious - kind of a cross between a bread and a cake (like banana bread sort of, but it's made with molasses).

I'm just afraid it wouldn't stay. My hair is uber heavy and tends to not hold style for long.
