Rainy Day at Disney Suggestions

My advice...go to Dollar General and stock up on disposable ponchos (one per day). Everyone carries theirs for that day and you do everything exactly the same as you would if it was not raining. We did this on our trip in Sept and it was honestly awesome. People tend to bail out on the parks and crowd levels plummet.:)

Another vote for ponchos - good shoes for dealing with the rain - and sticking it out in the parks. Be careful of the lightning- but seriously- it's a lot of fun and you'll usually experience much lower crowds since people tend to flee with downpours. I remember the fun we had one day...dodging raindrops and heading all over Tomorrowland.

Ponchos, flip flops, off you go! I learnt that last trip. It rained a lot over the 2 weeks we were there. Practically every day on the afternoon. My trainers were so sodden, they didn't dry out. So save wastingthe precious time, go anyway and enjoy the empty parks!
Only park it kind of wrecks is Island of Adventure because of all the rollercoasters and out door rides.

One further poncho tip: buy some uber-cheap ones before you leave. We found $1.99 poncho's at Dick's Sporting Goods, so we bought several per person. They pack teeny, like 3"x4"x.5", so pack 'em and you're ready. When the rain ends, don't fold those nasty wet things up. Toss 'em in the nearest marvelously themed garbage can and drive on with your mouse-mission!!

Another good thing about rainy days is that sometimes there is extra magic added to help past the time. A prime example is the Citizens of Hollywood. These characters were acting like statues when we were leaving ToT and it started pouring down rain. The only time they would move is when you would take their picture. A lot of fun during a rainy time!
