Raining ALL WEEK!?!?!?

Well the time has finally come and my family and I are leaving for our first ever WDW vacation on Saturday morning (05/12) and will be there until 05/18. Needless to say I have been watching the forecast and as of right now (05/10) this is what I'm getting:

All of the ADRs & FP+ are booked and now I am terrified that the weather will wreck it all! I have read and been told that the storms generally "pop up" and then are gone 45 minutes later but I am beginning to second guess my choices of parks and wondering if I need to change some of my FP+ to snag indoor activities that might get filled quickly with the rain.
Here is our park schedule - We did not get Park Hopper since we have small kids and plan to be heading back to Wilderness Lodge either early in the day or in the middle for a nap/break:

05/12 - Hollywood Studios (arrival day-kids don't care much for star wars so we planned to spend the least amount of time here)
05/13 - Magic Kingdom (complete with BBB in the afternoon and CRT for a late dinner)
05/14 - Epcot (Akershus Lunch)
05/15 - Animal Kingdom (had originally chosen this day to avoid EMH crowds and the Disney changed all of that - lol)
05/16 - Magic Kingdom ('Ohana for Breakfast and Dinner back at Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL)
05/17 - Magic Kingdom (My son's 7th Birthday - Pirate's League RSVP at Open, Lunch in Disney Springs, Fireworks Dessert Party )
05/18 - Leaving via MDE first thing so No Park

So if you have gotten this far:
1.) Does it make any sense to try and change any/all/some of my FP+ to indoor rides to give us something to do while it rains?
2.) Any ideas on how to handle strollers on days like this? I'll have a rain cover but is it better to just leave it at the resort and use a carrier all day for a baby?
3.) Is there anything I can do to improve my odds that Rain doesn't ruin the most expensive and anticipated family vacation I have ever planned?

THANK YOU ALL FOR ANY HELP, ADVISE, OR PEACE OF MIND THAT YOU CAN GIVE!!!!

Isn't this the rainy season anyways?

I'd say, you're on vacation, ignore the rain and enjoy your time. That also means not cancelling any ADRs because of the weather.

Wondering if anyone can help, I have typhoon lagoon planned for Sunday (mother’s day) and don’t really have any other days we can move it to, but the forecast isn’t looking great. Would you even risk it?

@CaptainAmerica , could you please ask your wife for the name of the mesh Tula she prefers? I'm looking at purchasing one called "Baby Tula Free-to-Grow Coast Mesh, Adjustable Newborn to Toddler, Multiple Positions for 7-45 pounds". I think the important part here is "Coast". That's the name of the model if I'm understanding it correctly. The baby is 4 months old and 20 pounds. Our trip is in 3 weeks and I know it's going to be hot. Thank you. Feel free to PM me if this is too off topic for the thread.

OP- wishing you a fabulous trip!
Yes I just spoke to her and she highly recommends. Keep in mind that being pressed up against each other, you and the baby will certainly be warm regardless, but that Coast model offers the most breathability for sure.

Tulas also retain their value extremely well. They're expensive, but you'll be able to sell it and get almost all of your money back. My wife has four or five right now but she's had several other that have come in and out of the house through buy-sell-trade groups on Facebook.

Check out sites like Wunderground or Dark Sky. You can actually see what the weather is supposed to be like by the hour. For instance, here's what May 14 is supposed to be in Orlando:

As you can see in the graph, there's only a 90% chance from 15:00-16:00 (3-4p). Most of the day it's only a 50% or less.

This is super off topic, but can you ask your wife which Facebook groups she uses? I have a Tula I need to sell.

Thanks for this post! We'll be there from 16th - 22nd for my daughter's 16th birthday. We are overly excited for this trip, and getting a tiny bit bummed about the weather, even through I am from Jacksonville and know the weather. Thanks for the explanation about 80% chance too. That put things in "Florida weather" perspective. I am convinced this is going to be a phenomenal trip, rain and all.

Call me crazy, but I love the rain in the summer months at DW. And it usually affords you some pretty amazing electrical storms or impressive thunder. When I see storm clouds coming, feel the wind pick up and hear thunder or see lightning in the distance - I get super excited and feel an adrenaline rush! It adds to the fun for me.

I am sure you will have an amazing time! Rains usually scare away a lot of the crowds, too. So it's not all bad.

As you've discovered by now, there was a tropical disturbance in the Gulf bringing rain with it. I hope you brought your poncho and decided to enjoy the parks anyway. After it leaves, you'll probably have the usual (almost) summer afternoon scattered thunderstorms.
