Any differences between DD Rainforest Cafe and the AK location?

A couple of years ago Rainforest was bought by the restaraunt group that owns Joe's Crabshack/Capt' D's/ and several other chains.

IMNSHO it is horible now. They threw in a bunch of seafood (nothing like "rainforest calimari") on the menu, made the drinks smaller, and generaly cheapened the experience.

If you must, just go into the bar, no wait and you can see all there is to see in the place while you have a drink.

Other things to watch out for:
Any restaraunt in DTD (Gherideli soda fountain is the exception)

I live about 15 minutes from Menlo, and pretty much have all my life, and the first time I have ever been to Rainforest Cafe was this past march-LOL I go to the mall all the time, just never been to the restaurant! I liked it but the "thunderstorms" scared my daughter.

My grandmother wants to go to the one in AK for lunch one day while we are there, do they do the thunderstorms there, too?
