There are 2 at WDW. One at DTD and the other at AK.
Good food, great atmosphere. A generally fun place to eat. Definitely different than any place you've been before.
They are like Hard Rock Cafe, All Star Cafe, Planet Hollywood etc. in that they are in a lot of different big cities.
The detailing and theming fit in very well with the Disney show.

Located in Down Town Disney...located to the right of the Market Place...
It can be seen from any where in DTD

There is also one in the AK...it can be accessed through the park...or from outside...

It depends on what you prefer...

Breakfast is nice...they have a decent selection...but not much variety.....

Lunch and Dinner are great...
great food...and very enjoyable for the kids...

Its your basic restuarant...
the main entrees' with some added luxuries...
you can find a complete menu here....

http://wdwig.com/menu/menu_rfcak.htm

the themeing is excelent...
with indoor thunderstorms and lightning...
even life like animals...
also and unbelievable fish tank...

** I suggest making priority seating before hand...especially if you have a large group....well its not really priority seating...its more of going to the restuarant a few hours before hand and giving your name...and what time you would like to eat....then shop and come back and check in with the hostess..and you will soon be called...some tiumes this isn't even nessecary....

There is a Rainforest at Downtown Disney (marketplace) and Animal Kingdom.

The restaurants are nice, but in WDW Ithink they aren't the best choice. There are better restaurants in WDW than the Rainforest. If you have one close to your house, I would recommend trying it outside WDW. Otherwise unless you are really in love with the theme and menu choices, choose one of the other many great restaurants in WDW.

It, in my opinion, is not worth the money or the wait. The food is nothing out of the ordinary, they just make it seem like it is by giving it wacky-wild names. Go someplace else if it is unique food you are looking for, but if you want great atmosphere and a bar with cool, tropical drinks, then go to Rainforest.

We went to the Rainforest Cafe in the AK in July. We made a Priority Seating. It was totally booked and very crowded, maybe due to the rain at lunchtime. I don't know if you could choose your room, it seems like they just kind of assign you. This time we got the room with the worst theming - the Atlas Room. Just a giant gold Atlas statue. Go Figure. My kids were liking it so so. The food is a little spicy and expensive. All I can say is thank heavens we had an AP and got a dining discount. It also helped when we stopped at the gift shop on the way out and used our AP to get a merchandise discount. THat made it a little more bearable.

For us this is a "must do" on our trips. We have eaten a dinner at the one at DTD and a breakfast at the one in AK. Both meals were excellent. We loved the theming and the merchandise is cool! We already have it on our December trip "must do" list. Mickey

I think Rainforest Cafe is a great destination at least once every trip. Nothing beats the atmosphere and those thunderstorms! The food isn't anything spectacular, but that has never been a major concern of mine as far as Rainforest Cafe is concerned. It is a bit pricey though.

I would recommend Rainforest Cafe for lunch.

VOLCANO!!!!
We love Rainforest Cafe! We were there in October in a downpour and every restaurant had a huge waiting list! We put our name in and we were going to go shopping when a employee approached us and asked if we wanted to join the Safari Club- it cost us $15 (divided between two families) and we were seated within 5 minutes. With this card I get coupons, discounts, free stuff and never ever have to wait in line at a Rainforest Cafe again! Oh we also got a gift certificate in the mail worth $10!! So how can you go wrong. The kids love it!!!

My wife is on a coeliac diet which basically means she's allergic to wheat, Oats and Rye.

This is quite difficult to cater for at the best of times as my wife is also a vegetarian. But once you explain the problem the staff at the Rainforest Cafe they are always willing to change the menu to enable my wife to eat and they either don't charge her as much or give her an extra portion of chips (sorry fries!:hammer: ) to make up for the loss of Bread etc.

Yes the food may not be award winning or the cheapest, but it's always hot, I've never had room to complain yet and if your staying in a Disney hotel then it will be cheaper than at the hotel!

They get my vote!
