Rainforest Cafe parking fees?

Why not go to the location at DTD? I think it's pretty much the same restaurant, but I *think* DTD may have no, or at least cheaper, parking fees...

Isn't the AK RFC inside the park, so you'd have to have park admission as well? Or is it just outside the entrance?

RFC at AK is just outside of the main entrance, so you don't have to have park admission to get in there, but I don't see away around the parking fee though.

Perhaps they would validate or something to get a refund from guest services, but that I do not know for sure.

The one at DTD doesn't have the time available I need for a ressie, but the AK one does. I know it's outside the park so you don't need admission, however, I don't want to pay 17$ for parking.

Did you try calling them? I have heard that sometimes they have more openings for direct customers than what is available on the WDW website, since they aren't owned by Disney... or something like that.

@alissafalco another vote for calling. Landry's is notorious for holding back reservations on the WDW RFC locations and TRex. i.e. they only release a very limited amount of ADR spots on the Disney site. It's quite common to pick up last minute reservations by just calling directly. I haven't done it with RFC, but I did it with TRex back in 2012. I had a really wide range of reservation times available.

Thanks so much houcusechickie! I will definitely give them a call, great idea. I refuse to pay 17$ for parking just to eat there when I'm not going to the park. Thank you!!

There are 2 entrances for the restaurant, one inside and one outside the park.

Definitely not worth the $17 parking charge though....not sure I would want to pay $17 for the meal there, let alone that on top of the meal. Admittedly its been a number of years since I eat there last, but the food was nothing memorable.

Get a Landry's select card, it puts you at the front of the line, I live in Houston, home of Landry's, so we have many of their restaurants here. Last time we were at DTD, we walked up to RFC and it was an hour and 30 minute wait, I showed her my card, and she said give me 10 minutes. It costs $25, but then when you go to use it on your next trip, you have a $25 reward, so it is a wash. This way, you won't need a reservation, as your wait won't be that bad.

unless you called the one at DTD, I would guess they have ressies at RC just not thru Disney. I called 2 days out and got the time I wanted. Disney had only times for Breakfast. I have never gotten either RC or T-Rex thru Disney
