Rain & SWW?

With Andrea headed towards those of us staying near Tampa (which I just found out about tonight - gotta love being unplugged on vacation!) I wondered about our plans to hit up Star Wars Weekends this Saturday.
Go? Stay away? Will they still have the parade in the rain? Meet & greets? These may all be silly questions, but my husband will be returning from a difficult trip and I don't want to drag everyone to DHS if it's not worth it.
Thanks in advance!

My guess is they'll do their best to have everything. I would still go. You may luck out and the rain will cut some of the crowds. Looking at the forecast, there's a good shot they'll still have the parade. Meet and Greets can be moved indoors. And they'll most likely have the fireworks unless it gets too windy. But go try it. At the very least you can ride Star Tours a bunch of times.

Today is going to be the nasty day in Orlando. I live 40 minutes away and the rain, wind and tornado watches have already started. By Saturday it will have passed. Still expecting a good chance of rain, but everything should be running normally at the parks.

It did rain late in the afternoon, but it ended up being the perfect weekend trip anyway. We were able to meet several SWW characters, saw Jabba the Hut's pet, and rode on all the rides/ saw all the 'regular' characters we wanted.
We missed the parade (closing down the MK at 1 am makes for a late start!) and the Hyperspace Hoopla - in favor of returning to the business lounge (kind of like concierge I believe?) and relaxing & a nice dinner & ROE in the World showcase at Epcot.

Not a die hard SWW experience, but we enjoyed it!

ETA - thank you for asking! :-)
