Rain shoe covers!?!?

My family of 8 is leaving Saturday for a weeks stay. Currently we have a chance of rain daily, pretty much like every other trip to Disney My concern is our footwear, so I am sitting here about to order waterproof shoe covers for DH, me and 3 of the kids. The little have comfy to walk in rain shoes and bitty baby girl doesn't walk yet. Any suggestions? Am I crazy?
Cold wet feet are annoying, multiplied by whining kids and our day is going to be pretty long.

What about rain boots that go over sneakers? In summer I bring flip flops and water shoes, but this time of year slip on boots would be the way to go. I saw some at our local walmart last weekend

Sorry no. My boys did use them when they were little for zoo trips and such

I don't think you will need them - accuweather says just "possible" on a couple of days - we went last January/February and when it rained it was just normal rain, not Florida monsoons. Our feet were fine. Just bring a change of shoes if they get damp but you should be fine. Enjoy your trip!

EDIT: Actually the week starting on 1/23 looks PERFECT. Enjoy!!

Eh, I'd advocate getting shoes that aren't affected by the water. Keens, Tevas, that type of thing. Then it doesn't matter if your feet get wet. Stepped into a good 3 inch deep puddle the other week in Storybook Circus with my Fivefingers on, didn't bother me any.

My horribly ugly crocs work great no blisters and super easy to dry off. They are just ugly.

I bought the pink shoe covers they have on amazon. As long as you don't wear a shoe larger than an eight, they work great. Buy the largest size or you won't be able to get them over your shoes. I also bought the long snap-up raincoats. They not only kept us dry, but they helped keep us warm. Additionally, I found a small, clear, plastic backpack that not only kept our stuff dry, but make bag check a breeze.

I would second this. I'm a big proponent of wearing Keen (or knock-off) fisherman sandals in the Florida parks.
It's not the rain falling on top of your shoe that's going to get you, it's the post-storm puddle you have to walk through (or sit in, if you ride Pirates or Kali). No shoe cover is going to protect from that, so you're better off having footwear that's already mostly amphibious.
Keens are especially nice because they breathe and dry out like a sandal but support like a tennis shoe. Plus you can't stub your toes.
