Raglan Road

So we decided to try Raglan Road on our next trip thanks to recommendations from all of you. We will be going at dinner and in perusing the dinner menu it is rather large. I know on DDP you usually get a starter, main course and dessert. So, I am assuming that you can get an appetizer or a salad as your starter and then choose from the main courses. If you were going for dinner tonight, what would you choose for appetizers, main course and your dessert???

Are you on the Deluxe or Regular Dining plan. The Regular DP is just main and dessert. I would get the mussels or shrimp app. I love the shepherd's pie and Banger & Booz for mains. Dessert - Dunbrody Kiss! Yummy, chocolate heaven!

Regular. Has it changed? When we were there in 2011 it was all 3.

Yes, it has changed -- now the Disney Dining Plan (non-deluxe) includes only an entree, drink (non-alcohol, non-specialty) and dessert. If you want an app, you'd have to pay extra.

My recommendations for Raglan (we were there in October 2012 and LOVED it!) are the Serious Steak for dinner, and bread-and-butter pudding for dessert. You'll be so stuffed, you won't miss the appetizer!

We love Raglan Road! Its one of our must dos every trip. We dont do the Deluxe dining plan (wayyyyy too much food for us) and pay OOP for appetizers. Love the Pork Vienna, the serious steak and the bangers and mash. Never had a bad meal here

Deeky Duo is great appetizer with a lot of food...the crock o pâté is also excellent...personally I love the heirloom tomato salad...all of the dinner entrees are good. If you want real Irish try the bangers and mash. The shepherds pie is also superb. The risotto (while not Irish, its a staple in most Irish families, we had it every Saturday growing up) is better than my mom's!! I skip dessert here, and have Ghiradellis instead...If you like beer, ask your waiter about the current Irish beers on tap.
In dining requests, make sure you ask to be seated in the main room if you want to see the cloggers and band. Ask NOT to be seated in the main room if you don't want that distraction. I love Raglan Road and dine here 5 or 6 times a year...

Raglan Road is awesome! Certainly worth while. Ask to sit in the center and be willing to wait for it.

DDP does not include apps. But it is more than enough food with entree and dessert.
