The title says it all. We are looking for somthing diffrent to try at downtown disney one evening on our next trip. We will be on the ddp and it will just be my husband and I. There always seems to be a crowd around the restaurant. How is the food? Service? What can we expect? Thanks!

Food has been great for me. Its a greatplace to use the dining plan since disney seems to have not caused a ripple effect and made this partners food decline with theirs. Service is good but since it gets busy it can be hit or miss. Musicians are great and add to the atmosphere. I would not skip this place on your next visit.

Food and Service are excellent, Service DOES slow down when they have live entertainment because the place is JAMMED. Always worth a visit and the Irish specialties are always excellent.

I agree with @Ariel484 the Raglan Risotto is AMAZING! We went our last trip in July and sat up at the bar. It was a great experience and we made sure to ADR it for our next trip in January. Enjoy!

Pure awesomeness. I think it's my favorite restaurant in Downtown Disney. I could live without the live entertainment (I like to gab incessantly when we dine out, and the noise level sometimes makes that a bit tough), but as long as you're able to get a seat in that small section off the back of the bar area, it's tolerable. The food is great, and they have a fantastic selection of beer and whisky/ey.

We and our friends have actually closed the place down in the bar on a handful of occasions. Good fun was had by all. On a related note, if you're just stopping in for a drink, don't neglect the Hole in the Wall bar on the backside of the restaurant.

Best restaurant in DTD in my opinion -- also one of the best Irish restaurants outside of NYC...the food is terrific good, and the ambiance is like a big Irish pub (only 20 times the size). Noise levels can be high, but they are even higher in real Irish pubs. The live entertainment is entertaining (dancers and bands) -- hopefully you'll be there while houseband Creel plays - they are wicked good.

Best items on the menu? The heirloom tomato salad appetizer (big enough for two, but I eat it by myself), the Risotto (its better than my mom's and we like most Irish families had Risotto every single Saturday night growing up), the Shepherd's Pie, the Ham...Pair it with their current special beers -- ask about their house beers, or get a sampler tray.

Another great appetizer -- the Deeky Duo battered sausages -- note that this is very filling, so be sure to order to share, otherwise you'll be leaving most of it go to waste...

Skip dessert here -- go down to Ghiradelli's instead.

Oh -- by the way, if you are an OpenTable member, use that to make your reservation instead of the Disney Dining System -- you'll get your points for dining here, sometimes at double points. You'll also get seated faster since they give higher priority to the OpenTable reservations (mostly locals instead of tourists)

Another positive vote for Raglan Road. Very lively place with good food and entertainment. Both of our meals were very good and the service was excellent without being "overbearing". I am a big fan of fish and chips-and I must say Raglan Road's was better tasting and wasn't greasy like at the Rose and Crown at Epcot. Be sure to get reservations or be prepared to wait. We definitely want to go again someday.

It's wonderful! If you want to see the dancing, make a reservation during the evening and ask to be seated in the main room near the stage (but be warned, it will be loud!) Service is terrific and so is the food. I particularly recommend the Serious Steak and Bread 'n Butter Pudding, but you can't really go wrong no matter what you pick.

Note: if you can't get a reservation through Disney (e.g., Disney Dining says it's fully booked), you can Google Raglan Road to get their website and call them directly.

Try the outside area...great trio that performs and the atmosphere is so nice...quieter than inside. (You can't reserve outside though...it's first come, first serve.)

Think for yourselfer
Raglan Road is great.

I would add though, they serve alcohol there. And as many here will tell you, that's the Devil's Poison. So you want to be careful for fall down drunks, puke in the aisles and drunkards relieving themselves on the bar.

I second this. If you do not mind eating a little later make ressies for around 8:15...the entertainment is pretty ho-hum until around 9:00 when the live music starts and then you are in for a good time! ressies around 8:15 mean you are just finishing dinner when they get wound up for the night.

awesome place. Just tried it for the first time this year and loved it. The bread pudding may be the best on property (yes, even better than 'Ohana). Here are a few pictures:

Can't say enough good things about the place. I know the menu may not be the most "traditional", but it was really good. Even our two kids liked it (and one is a really picky eater).
