Have reservations at Ragland Road and this will be my first visit. I love the Rose and Crown and was told if I did then this should be on my list to visit.

Can I get menu suggestions and must haves when you visit? Really looking forward to going here.

I don't have much experience with the dining room there. We've been to the bar a few times but haven't eaten much. I really like their smoked salmon appetizer, though.

Raglan Rd is what I refer to a a dart board restaurant in that you could put the menu on the wall, throw darts at it and you would be fine with what ever you hit. I have had almost every item on the menu and have never been disappointed even a little. My favorites would be the fish n chips, bangers n booze, pie in the sky and sod the stew. If they have short ribs as a special they are quite good.

Totally agree with this. Just one exemption, the flatbreads are nothing special.

My personal pick, Fish and Chips, with the Bread and Butter Pudding for dessert.

My favorite things to eat at Raglan Road are the Dalkey Duo for an appetizer, and the Slow Ribs for dinner. The Dalkey Duo are a bunch of battered sausages served on a forest of forks with a honey mustard dipping sauce. They are simply amazing. The slow ribs are served in a big pot so it keeps all the juices and they are very tender. One of the things I love there that probably gets overlooked is the bread! They serve it with a Guinness and olive oil kind of dipping sauce that is delicious. Guess I'm not really sure what it is completely, but I do know that I usually eat an entire basket of bread before my meal because I can't stop!
Have fun and enjoy!

We tried it last year, the entertainment was fine but the food not so good. Stay away from the blood sausage, I couldn't even finish it. Alot of people like this place but it was not for us for sure.

Raglan Road is one of the best places to eat on property. It should be required by law to have the Bread and Butter Pudding. In fact order it first so you make sure and not get too full on the main course.

I agree with the others that Raglan is one of those places I am yet to leave disappointed. I really enjoy the cluck curry on the menu.

My husband & I really like Ragland Road. My personal favorites are the "tart art" (tart with goat cheese, spring peas, & asparagus) and the "Pie in the Sky" (awesome chicken pot pie!). Husband loves the Smokie City appetizer & Scallop Forest appetizer. We've enjoyed everything we've had there. I will say that the blood sausage in the mixed grill isn't for everyone. DH got the mixed grill last year & I tried a little piece of everything that was one the plate. The blood sausage wasn't horrible, it just wasn't my thing. I thought everything else on the plate was really good. DH is an adventrous eater to say the least & he thought it was outstanding. (He love sea urchin sushi which looks like something putrid to me. Different strokes for different folks.)

I absolutely loved it. I'm not even sure what I had... but, we had a table of 4 and we all ordered separate entrees. After a few minutes, we were all saying "you should try this..."

My husband and I always start with the Dalkey Duo as a shared appetizer (it's more than enough for two). My husband swears by the Bangers & Booze, its a mix of Bangers & Mash with Guiness Beef Stew. He LOVES it. If you go for lunch they have a fantastic Lobster Avocado Club Sandwich that I went back for three times last October. It's only on the lunch menu though. We have never been disappointed at Raglan Road it is wonderful every time.
Oh, and if you are a beer drinker try the Arrogant ______________ Ale !!!:slurp:
