Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant - October 21, 2005, is the official opening date for Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant at Downtown Disney. The new venue, located on the site of the former Pleasure Island Jazz Company, will offer traditional Irish fare prepared with a "modern flair." Menu items will include: rack of lamb on Irish stew consommé, Sea Leek (oven-baked fillet of sea bass served on a fondue of leeks), and Kevin's Kudos (oven-roasted loin of bacon served with braised cabbage and creamed potato). The restaurant, which will hold 600, is decorated with custom furnishings designed and built in Ireland by Irish craftspeople, as well as with Irish antiques and "bric-a-brac." Pleasure Island club admission will not be required for entrance to Raglan Road. Located where the Pleasure Island Jazz Company used to be.

As of last night the wall aren't even up yet. There really isn't anything to take pics of yet...

The "official" opening date has been announced about three times. It was supposed to have opened in late July. I hope they are able to stick to the Oct 21st announcement.

They have crews working there basically 24 hours a day. I think they are pretty set on getting it open before the end of the fiscal year.

Thanks. It just seemed weird because ususally their are a ton of posts about new things opening and people take pictures of the sidewalk in front of them or signs hanging up. There has not been that same level of pomp and circumstance surrounding this opening.

Yeah thats true. Most of the Downtown construction doesnt have anywhere near the coverage of in-park construction, certainly on WDWMAGIC.
