Looked for a thread on this and couldn't find it.

I see where it has been reported that Rafiki will now meet and greet in Stitch's place at MK. http://www.wdwmagic.com/attractions...o-begin-at-the-magic-kingdom-this-weekend.htm

I am fine with that since I love Rafiki and Stitch isn't my favourite. However, does this mean that Rafiki will no longer be greeting guests at Rafiki's Planet Watch in AK? That doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Perhaps he will be in both places?

I remember 10 to 15 years ago the parks were full of characters. All over. Literally everywhere you turned they were everywhere. I don't particularly care for them but they do add a familiar and nostalgic quality to the atmosphere at the park and more importantly each one takes a dozen or so people out rotation from clogging up a queue. They should be adding more characters and not cutting a bunch of balancing them for micromanagerial reasons.

/with nothing to do at the Studios they should have a ton

There are still tons of characters. The difference is they are now mostly in buildings with multiple rooms filled with each character. For example, if before there were 20 different characters in the MK at a given time, there are still 20 "friends" dressed as characters, but instead there are multiples of the same leading to only 8 different character meet and greet opportunities. *** NOTE: These numbers are not meant to be accurate but just to provide an illustrative example. Also, many will say there are less "friends" today than there were even a few years ago. Entertainment budget cuts.
