I know there are some local radio stations that carry Radio Disney and I get it on Sirius, but does anyone actually listen to it? I was excited about the idea of it; however, its content doesn't seem to be very Disney. I thought it would have more of a Disney theme.

We have Radio Disney on all the time in our van. Granted, we have 2 young kids, but I have to admit I listen to it at times they aren't in the van! :lol:
In the afternoon they do a short story (Disney) and many times have Disney characters "on". Also, there are a lot of Disney songs played, sung by Goofy, Mickey etc. Along with kid favorites such as "Crazy Frog", the "Hamster Dance", "I'm Mr Lonely" etc. They also play tweens hits from Hilary Duff and other artists. I love hearing the cleaned up versions of songs by Pink, Bowling for Soup etc. (See, told ya I listen a lot!!) :wave:
They also have a lot of daily contests plus a code word for the day that you can enter online for chances at the big prizes. Boy, did we try to win that trip to every Disney Park prize! I enjoy the DJs, they are great to the kids that call in, and as an adult, I can even appreciate them.
As far as Disney theme, they don't talk about the Parks and rides etc. But because of the above reasons it is a hit with my family.

I have it on my sirius radio, but there are some things that bug me about it. First off, that song by Akon "Lonely" that GoofyMom is talking about, I can't stand that song. It seems like there are a lot of commercials too, and the only time I can hear Disney music is during that lunch hour with I believe B.B. Good as the DJ...I just wish they would play a little more Disney music here and there.

My girlfriend and I listen to it here in Orlando on 990AM... it's the only station the two of us can agree on... they seem to play a lot of the same songs... like there are only 20 songs they play, and they always play them... can't seem to listen to it without hearing Hamster Dance, Cha Cha Slide or Crazy Frog... I mainly listen for the Hillary Duff and Aly & AJ... oh geez... how can I listen to Rock bands that scream and still enjoy Hillary Duff? But the Aly & AJ song "Into The Rush" is really good! LOL! :lol: Radio Disney isn't too amazing, but it's better than most of the stuff out there...

we get it from NYC here in NJ, awhile ago the music was good, they seem to play some music that I have a problem with, but overall it's not bad. When BB good broadcast from MGM it was special for my sons, because after the show she would come out to see the kids that wanted to meet her, and as they would ask for her autograph, she had a book that she would ask for theirs. And it didn't matter how many kids were there, she took the time to meet and talk to all of them. I just don't know why they, or she moved her out of there. they haven't removed the sign for radio disney yet, at least since we were there in Aug. I know ABC afffiliates do special broadcasts from the other studios they have in that building. It was I think the only kid level item that was at MGM.
