Grizz has to teach you all a lesson: SAVE YOUR LONG POSTS WHILE YOU ARE TYPING THEM!

I was just in News and Rumors, typing a giganta-mundo Epcot update (which took me to about 30 minutes), and BAM! I accidentally made the page go "back" one. . . and my post was lost.

This is a lesson to everyone! (Fine, it's a lesson to me  ). . . but just a heads up. Write them in Microsoft Word or something.

Can anyone give me a  to make it better? :D

(BTW, I may post the Epcot update later tonight. . . but I sure as heck aren't gonna rewrite it now!

Doesn't pressing Forward again, bring it back?

Are you still using Internet Explorer Grizz? *shakeshead*

 (although I am sure you'd prefer one from one of the ladies ;) )

Nope... Forward didn't work. Nor did my attempt to hit "STOP" continuously for a second keep the page from going back one. :brick:

Thank you ... um ... for the smoocher, and thank YOU Kelly. :p

Sorry for your lost theme, Gen. Grizz. You make an excellent point and one I wish more of us would heed - create your post in MS Word or Word Perfect. Use the spell checker, then copy and paste into the "Reply to Thread" screen.

Some of us could really benefit from the spell checker. :lookaroun

I, too, have lost posts when a malfunction occurred during "send." The reply went to never-to-be-seen-againland.

Oh well. I know it woulda' been a good 'un.

ahh, it only happens in the quick reply box. Both IE and FF save the form fields if you type it in "Post Reply", and then skip back and forth...

I guess the its to do with the JavaScript that disables the box, and fills it with the default text.

I hate it when that happens! Sometimes you can recover the post by going back, sometimes you can't - it drives me mad when it happens :hammer:

It happens to the best of us Grizz. I was writing a REALLY long one before too, only mine took about 15 minutes but was long due to my fast typing skills. I still haven't learned to use Word or anything else. Oh well, I just suffer and re-write it again hoping it doesn't delete on me a second time.

For anything more than 1000 words...I use MS Word, then copy and paste it over.

Do you count the words in your head before you post so you know if you're above your limit. If you go over that's $109.99. If you go under, than you're wasting your word count.

MS Word....unlimited....never worry about being under or over 1000 words again.

:lookaroun What? :lookaroun
