Does anyone know where I can get hold of a professionally shot video of R of E? I am sure there must be one as I have seen clips of backstage documentary footage which shows snippets of the show.

There isn`t a full pro video generally available; though shot multiple times by Disney they never release the footage complete - only as you say via docus and promo material. There are some very good ones at Disney Central; with hopefully an even better one yet to come.
The best official clip I`ve seen lasted over a minute - including some stunning aerial clips during Chaos and Celebration.

Disney shot video RoE
The video "Marking the Millennium: The Celebration Of A Lifetime At The Walt Disney World Resort" has a six minute + video of RoE. While still not the full thing it is professionally shot and has camera angles from very high vantage points otherwise unattainable. It also has some nice footage of the Tapestry of Dreams parade that preceeded RoE at the beginning of the tape.
It was sold at Epcot on VHS tape so I don't know if it was available in PAL TV format that would be compatiable with the television system in Europe as the VHS was in NTSC.
There is a copy on eBay at http://search.ebay.com/Marking-the-Millennium_W0QQfromZR40 for a few more hours from the eBay store 2ndhandtreasures4u.
