Raise your buckets! Tonight was the last night for the Rock & Roll Beach Club and they went out with a bang! To bad more nights weren't like this! I'll try to get a few pic up soon.

...and with that...I officially boycott PI. I'm sorry, but the Adv. Club alone isn't worth $20+/night. PI went downhill as soon as they announced getting rid of the West End Stage and live entertainment.

I'm glad my friends (Kabang) got to be the last band playing in the Beach Club. They should have let Frankie and the West End Boys close the WES but I digress...

Lon DJ's at the Main booth on the island. I saw him a few weeks ago DJing at 8trax last minute.

Kabang didn't close out the club, it was Panama/Blue Stone Circle. Last night was a ton of fun! Too bad that club wasn't that busy EVERY night; if it were it'd still be open! There's an idea, we'll just say the club is closing every week... RRBC was a lot of fun on nights like last night. RIP RRBC.

BTW, interesting note, the DirecTV Subscription for the building was transfered to a new owner, not cancelled...

And no need to send out the RIP to those above (well, except Homa... he was great). Clinta and Donnamarie will both be at Motion, and many of the other bartenders will be at P.I. Live bar and mannaquins. And I'll keep everyone posted when the new entertainment schedule comes out, but there's the possibility of a lot of bands performing out at the waterfront stage.

awww this makes me very sad because it was the only club we would hang out at when we went to pleasure island. . . and we would shake our tailfeathers on the dance floor, but then again i have only been to pleasure island twice. . .

Live Band at Motions

I noticed that there was a live band on stage at Motions last night - maybe it was in lieu of the closing of RRBC.

Hey we agree on something. Personally I won't miss PI. I'm looking forward to it's "Disneyization" (or "Disneyfication" for the Harvard people out there)
