No suicide, no foul play, no trauma. It'll be longer for the autopsy results. He was suffering because he needed a double hip replacement. It's sad they said he had been in the elevator for some time before being found.Have y'all heard the stories coming out of a possible drug overdose? I'm not going to judge until I have the facts, but I sure hope not. Lot's of good tributes on the radio yesterday and this morning. I just heard on the radio this morning that Maya Rudolph (from SNL and daughter of Minnie Ripperton) has a Prince tribute band called Princess and they were already scheduled to do a show in Austin tomorrow. I would love to see that, but I'm sure it's sold out now and I didn't know anything about it until this morning. Sigh...

After the news conference today things are little more clear. Especially why the person who made the 911 call didn't know what city he was in. I get it now.Yes, I also read that he needed that surgery, but due to his beliefs he couldn't do it (I guess for risk of needing a blood transfusion?) I think the hip problems have been going on for many years now. I guess it's possible he may have been dependent on his pain relief. I refuse to believe any other type of overdose (like heroin, etc.).
I'm sorry to hear that. He was a fantastic, guitarist. I loved his music. Our daughter danced in drill team in the 80's to his music. Funny, she was from that era and didn't care for his music. I loved it. Maybe I was born too soon. No, I loved the Beatles music too.No suicide, no foul play, no trauma. It'll be longer for the autopsy results.
