I was really sad to hear this. He's one of my favorite actors. I loved "Forbidden Planet" and of course all the great comedic work he did over the last three decades. I also really enjoyed his guest appearances on "Due South." He will be greatly missed.

It's strange to me, because I have only seen one of his comedies (Airplane). I mostly identify Leslie Nielson as a dramatic actor from 70's TV shows that I viewed as a kid.
