I know there is a way to be notified whenever someone tags you in a post but is there a way to be notified when someone quotes you?

I am notified when I am tagged, liked or quoted. I would think it would be in the notification settings.

Ok help me! I only get notifications when I'm tagged (i.e. doing the @ExtinctJenn type of thing).

Go to "alert preferences" under "your account."

Put your mouse over the tab with your screen name on it. (should be in the upper right corner of the page)
This will cause a menu to pop up.
Select "alert preferences" and it should be pretty obvious from there.

About all I turn off are alerts to attachments and responses to threads I am watching. If those were turned on I would open up to 100+ alerts every time I turned around. Likes, quotes and tags seems to be just enough where I don't miss anything, but an not biragged with alert notices.

I "follow" very few people for the same reason, so my news feed isn't overwhelming. And the ones I do follow don't post that often.
