Quiet, calm restaurants at WDW?

There are plenty of quiet places to have dinner, but beware, absolutely nothing except V&A is off-limits to screaming kids sometimes...but there are some that are virtually kid-free...
Downtown Disney: Fulton's after 7:30 pm; Cap'N Jacks after 8 pm
AKL: Jiko almost never has noise and very few kids...
DHS: Brown Derby along the sides in the raised sections, not in the middle in the sunken main section (where everything echoes with or without kids there)
DAK: Yak and Yeti after 5:00 pm when they are open on later nights. This is another one where you can ask for one of the upstairs quiet seating areas, and avoid the large open downstairs area
MK: The Plaza Restaurant between 2 and 4, and after 7 -- but you are surrounded by the loud bustle outside in MK...still, inside its pretty calm and quiet
Epcot: any of the upscale restaurants after 7:00 pm.
Turf Club at Saratoga Springs or Olivias at Old Key West are very quiet - screaming kids not allowed (also Narcossi's) but they are a bit harder to get to/from unless you have a car.

There is some misguided advise in some of the posts above.
Whispering Canyon at WL is very loud -- while the restaurant itself might be calm, every scream and noise from the big atrium lobby echoes throughout the restaurant until about 10:00 pm...
California Grill at the Contemporary -- not quiet at all, while you won't get screaming kids, the entire thing echoes and gets very loud around fireworks time...

Quiet place...try Shulas or Bluezoo at the Dolphin

I agree that most of the restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin are quieter due to being off the beaten trail with the exception of Kimono's and Bluezoo due to the fact that both are popular nightspots. Also Garden Grove and Picabu can be a nightmare most mornings so unless you are doing the charecter dining experience skip going down stairs and order in.

Well- I have yet to have a "quiet" experience at Disney restaurants. Of course any character meal is very loud. i found 1900 Park Fare dinner buffet w/ Cinderella to be overwhelming! My husband and I were able to experience Flying Fish Cafe by ourselves in 2007( My Mom & Dad babysat and ordered in room pizza). It was awesome, very relaxed, and unforgettable! I guess most signature restaurants are rather geared toward adults. I'm looking forward to trying Fulton's.:)

When I ate at Monsieur Paul back in January, it was so loud, it was like being at a football game.

My votes would be Sanaa, Jiko, & Yachtsman. Flying Fish is generally calm, but I have been in there once or twice when the noise level was higher than normal.
