Quick Service

We're doing the Summer Quick Service Meal plan. I want to get the most out of our "free" meals. What are the best quick service meals in each park? **We already have Be Our Guest reservations**

Magic Kingdom: Be Our Guest, Columbia Harbor House, Cosmic Ray's
Epcot: Tangerine Cafe, Sunshine Seasons
DHS: Blah
Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree Barbecue, Harambe Market, Yak and Yeti

With the exception of Flame Tree, I wouldn't argue that anything is SO much better than the other offerings where I'd make a special trip. I'd advise just eating wherever you happen to be in the park at meal time.

We typically don't order traditional "park food," but Studios becomes the day we get cheeseburgers at Backlot Express. Otherwise it's our turkey leg day.
Yep, same here. The one time we had lunch there it was from the Backlot Express, but most of the time we have a giant breakfast, followed by an early, giant dinner and just skip lunch completely. Now if 50's Prime Time was a QS for lunch I'd be sold!

Thanks for the ideas. I miss Pizza Planet too I thought I was the only one who enjoyed those cardboard pizzas and aliens hanging from the ceiling

HS is obviously not the greatest, but we actually didn't hate our meal at Studio Catering Co. last year. Some decent chicken and pulled pork sandwiches on ciabatta rolls. Decent.

Also never hated any of the salads I got at ABC Commissary, or the little interesting hot dog/pretzel concoctions at Min and Bills.

Lastly, I'd definitely recommend heading to Boardwalk Bakery outside of the park for some tasty sandwiches and BOMB desserts if you have the time and energy for the walk. ;)

THIS! You can also take the boat (though it may be very hot on the boat depending on the time of day and how many of the boat windows are open) to the Boardwalk or any of the Epcot resorts for a little break from the park crowds. I think the walk is more pleasant, though. :)

What not to do- breakfast. Generally speaking, I find Quick Service breakfasts a waste of meal credits. I find it better to just pay out of pocket.

Another thing- some things, like cheese fries, can be bought as a snack credit. Depending on the person, that can serve as a meal, so it makes your meal credits go further.

ABC Commissary has a bad habit of introducing seafood into their menu, and they're terrible at it. Whether their ill-advised surf-and-turf burger or the fish and chips that are nowhere near what they sell in Epcot, best to steer clear unless you're doing something foolproof like the salad you mentioned.

Now that we officially have the (free) quick service dining plan, I've been looking more closely at menus online. Will restaurants that are 'open seasonally' be open in late September?

EPCOT World Showcase quick service meals are the best "value". Avoid the resort quick service restaurants, as those are almost like cafeteria style... not that they're bad, but it's mostly the same food options.

With a few notable exceptions. The Landscape of Flavors at Art of Animation has some phenomenal choices; I'm especially fond of their Tandoori selections.
