Quick Service Dining QUESTION

Hi everybody. I am just a month ago to arrive at Disney for vacations with my girl and her sister. I´ll be staying at Pop century.

I´m concerned about the dining plan. We have the quick service plan.

Suppose I´d like to go to Boardwalk Bakery at Boardwalk Inn for a breakfast. How do they know (at the restaurant) that my plan is quick service? , I mean, Am I able to sit in a table an order or is there a counter service? Or I look for my food and sit. Are there any special or different menus at a restaurant depending on each visitors plan?

I´ve seen that menus for quick service dining plan have prices.. for example at Wolfgang Puck Express Downtown Disney, a Rigatoni with Chicken Bolognese is worth $14.95 … so Do I have a limit to order, do I have a top amount to order? Or I can order everything in the quick service menu?

If somebody can help me. This is the first time using Disney Dining Plan and although I know that I´ll have 2 quick service meals, 2 snacks … I still don´t know how will I use it.

Thank´s for your help

Your Resort ID/room key will have a line on it specifically for the Dining Plan and how many people there are in your room.
We were on the regular Dining Plan back in September, and our room key had "DDP A03" on it to indicate that we had three adults in our room. I'd presume that the Quick Service Dining Plan will have its own code printed on the card.

"Counter Service" refers to the type of location. There are no waiters or waitresses that come to your table at Counter Service locations. You walk up to the counter, order the food, give your room key to the cashier (ensuring to tell them that the meal is on the Dining Plan) and they'll swipe your card. Then you'll get the food and bring it to a table yourself.

A Counter Service meal consists of an entree (or combo meal), dessert and a beverage. (An example for using a credit for lunch would be a cheeseburger combo with fries as the entree, a brownie as dessert, and a large soda for the beverage.) At breakfast the credit includes an entree, small juice and a beverage (like a cup of coffee or a second juice). A hint: if you have one fo the refillable mugs to use for coffee, or you don't want the coffee, get a bottle of water or soda as your second beverage to save for later.

At a resort food court, a breakfast entree would be something like an omlette or pancakes or a waffle. But unfortunately I don't know what the Bakery has in terms of breakfast entree items. If you're just looking for something simple, you may be better off using your Snack credits for a pastry, muffin or a bagel.

In general, there are no restrictions on what you can get on the Plan, as long as it falls into the entree/dessert/beverage slots. (And there is often leeway in what they classify as an "entree" or a "dessert") There is no dollar amount limit on what you can order. That's why people mention Wolfgang Puck Express as a good option, because you get a lot of food that's normally a relatively expensive meal if you were paying cash, but it's just one Counter Service credit. (Actually, now that I think about it, Wolfgang Puck does kinda-sorta have servers... You order at the counter, get a little number sign to put on your table, and someone brings your food to your table when it's ready, but that's the extent of the service)

So when you get to the Bakery, just tell the person at the counter that you're on the Dining Plan, and ask them for assistance in choosing what you can get on the Plan. They'll be happy to help.
