Quick Service Dessert Question

I have an upcoming trip, I will be staying @ All Star Sports Resort and bought the Dining Plan. For lunch we plan on the first day to eat the the Endzone Food Court. From what I understand lunch/dinner includes a drink and dessert. What counts as a dessert at a resort? I understand if I'm eating at one of the parks Counter Service options that they usually have 2 or 3 options for dessert but it seems the Endzone Food Court has lots of options that could be considered "dessert". For example, could I get gelato or smoothie or brownie or something like that? Also with the drink, can I get a bottled water or like an orange juice or does it have to be a fountain drink?

Generally, at the food courts at hotels, you can get dessert from any of the places in the food court, including gelato, a bakery item, a prepackaged things (like a Mickey rice krispie treat), etc.

Drinks can be bottled drinks as well, with some limitations, and should be, since you'll be using your mug for the fountain drinks. Whenever we ate QS in a hotel food court, we grabbed bottles and threw them into our backpack, which we then took the parks with us so that we didn't need to use snack credits on drinks at the parks.

Thank you so much for the information. I'm going to plan on getting bottled water as our drink then, since we have the refillable mugs, so I can bring it to the parks.

One thing on dessert. If you are getting gelato or ice cream, just tell them at the register that you'll come back after finishing your entree to grab gelato/ice cream, and they'll stamp your receipt. That way, you don't have to eat quickly before the ice cream melts.

I've heard this tip a lot and I see how it makes sense. However, we typically take the bottled drink back to our room and not carry it around in our bags all day. This is because the drinks get heavy if you have more than one person and they get warm and I can't drink warm water/soda/juice. So, just keep that in mind.

Also note that if you're at a counter service place in the parks and you just don't want a dessert with your meal, ask for a bottle of water as the dessert.
