Hi you guys. I don't know if there's any changes to the meal plan this year, but we are the DDP. I was wondering for the quick service dinning, can we order the adult meals for the kids as well or do we have to order the kid's meals? We are also splitting our stay between the contemporary (2 nights) and port orleans (2 nights). If we used all 2 table service on the first day can we use 2 table service on the next day or do we need to check into port orleans first to access those dinning credits?

You can order an adult meal for a child at a quick service location since there is no differentiation between adult and child QS credits.

However, if you have the Quick Service Dining Plan, you cannot use those credits at a table service restaurant. (You said table service in your post.)

You must use all your credits from resort #1 (Contemporary) by midnight of the day you check out or you will lose them. You won't receive your credits for the rest of your vacation until you check into resort #2 (Port Orleans).

I'm sure by the time we check out we'll be able to use all our dining credits from resort 1, but before going to brunch at chef mickey can we call into resort 2 to have them check us in? So far this is how we're going to do it
Resort 1
Day 1 use 2 quick service per person for lunch and dinner
Day 2 use 2 table service per person for lunch and dinner
Day 3 this day we'll be checking out of resort 1, but want to go to chef mickey right after check out is that possible?

Update, just in case anyone else had the same question.
I called Disney and was told that for quick service I would have to get the kid's meals (which I understand, but would be great if I could just get a adult meal for them to share) and that I don't have to physically check into resort 2 to get all my meals for that day. Once I'm checked in electronically I am free to use the new dinning plan (from resort 2), but I have to use what's left over from resort 1 by midnight.

Disney says that but I know of people who say they order adult meals for the kids for the quick service meal. A lot of times it depends on the cast member.
