You guys are awsome! Thanks for the great tips. My fiance would love to wear "bride ears", she is such a romantic. I think it would be fun as well.

I'm so excited about our trip. I am 34 and have wanted to go to DW all my life. I read these forums everyday now and I can't get enough information to tame my appetite for disney info.

I'm gonna try to talk rachael (fiance) into making this an annual trip, because how could you ever get tired of going to such a cool place.

You should get a little bit acquainted with the disney park maps prior to going. This will help when it comes down to trekking through the park. Oh yeah, START with Adventureland. You'll be able to hit all the rides into the start of Fantasyland by lunchtime and will avoid early onslaught crowd in Tomorrowland. This will allow you to get through all the MK rides in less than a day and will allow you to go back and ride you favorites in the evening. The only problem with getting to Adventureland so early is that the Aloha Isle doesn't open until 11am. You may ask "Why?" The answer is simple: a Dole Whip Pineapple Float is the absolute greatest food item in the world. Soft-serve pineapple ice cream floating in pineapple juice. You can beat it!! As such, you'll need to make a second trip (at least...and, by the way, Adventureland is the BEST land) to Adventureland. Good Luck and Godspeed.

The only trouble I've ever had with my backpack was the one time I took everyone's advice and wrapped the straps around my feet. When the ride stopped, I couldn't unwrap fast enough (you know there are people ready to move in as soon as it stops) and thought I had it done, but didn't, and just about fell on my face all tangled up in it.
(run on sentence with dangling modifiers to emphasize dangling me taking forever)

Congrats on your upcoming wedding!

as another first timer who just got back- have to tell you Port Orleans is awesome- we stayed at French Quarter becasue it was was smaller, and absolutly LOVED it. Everything was a quick walk away, and it was quiet and relaxing. We did walk over to Riverside for breakfast ( you HAVE to have the Banana Stuffed French Toast!), and it seemed very nice as well.

As for the back packs, I took a MEC pod sling and it was perfect! Fit everything I needed, plus has a side pocket for a water bottle, and wasn't too big. ( and I packed pretty much everything I could) It was great on the rides too, because I could still wear it on the rides and just turn it around. It also fit as a pack. Check out www.mec.ca to ckeck it out. Go under packs, and then daypacksIt might be a Canadian store, but they do ship. ( and its cheap! $20 Canadian!)

Hope that helps!

Have a great trip!

We enjoyed POR.There is a romantic carriage ride you can book that would be nice for a honeymoon. The landscaping at Alligator Bayou is prettier but we liked the room decor better in the mansions. So either area is fine.Happy Honeymoon!
