I am making dinner reservations at The Crystal Palace and I am on the FREE Dining Plan, they are asking for my credit card. Is that normal?

Yes.

Certain restaurants mostly signature now req card details incase you don't turn up,this just started as we have CG booked and gave card details.I think they will take a % off your card if you miss ADR.someone will know exactly.

Yes, we have adrs for CP also and they took our cc info too. From what I have read only certain restaurants will now ask for credit cards to hold your reservation. If you don't show or cancel within 24 hours , they can charge you 10.00 per person.

Yep- it's true!

I had to use my CC to reserve for all character dinners and shows. Kona Cafe did not require a CC.
Spirit of Aloha, Ohana, 1900Park Fare all required a CC guarantee of a reservation. I'm not sure if it states anywhere that if you don't show that your CC will be charged, but I'm sure that's the case.
Unfortunately, people have taken advantage of the system over the years- just like the refillable mugs!:fork::eek:
