Quick question - on board booking

My mom asked me last night...

Can my parents book a cruise while they're on-board (with the discount) and *I* take the cruise? Or does it have to be the people booking the cruise that are sailing?

Essentially - can they "gift" me a cruise and still get the on-board discount & stateroom credit for me?

Not really. They could if they were traveling with you! They can book two staterooms on a future cruise, but they do have to go.
