Quick Question About Online Check In

Quick questions are even quicker if you just ask the question and not announce that it is a quick question first. I'm just joking with you because I don't have any idea, so not only is my answer not quick, it is useless as well. Sorry.

It's midnight...or shortly thereafter. It didn't work for me at the stroke of 12:00 AM, but more like 12:04 AM.

Should be around midnight, but you also have plenty of time to do it. You can check-in online a few days ahead of time, and it literally won't make a difference.

It will not matter in the slightest when you do online check in. This is not Fast Passes or dining reservations. All you are doing is telling your resort to print out your information ahead of time so you can just grab and go when you arrive.

When do they assign rooms? I assume 3-4 days out? As long as your requests arrive before that point, it certainly doesn't matter. Is there a cutoff for online check in? I've always done it at least a couple weeks out.

I believe rooms are assigned only 1 or 2 days ahead of time. Plus it's more influential to actually call and have them add a request to your reservation, than to only note it during online check-in.

We always do online checkin and have gotten all our requests every visit.
Your requests should be on your reservation from the start. I have been told that room assignments can vary between 1-4 days out, but most happen in the 1-2 day range. I have done online check in as late as the night before.
Thanks everybody for your insights, I'm going to wait till the week of my trip to do the online check in cause I have a couple of requests I want them to notate with it. Since a majority of you guys say that chances of getting the requests are slightly better the week, if not, the night before, I'm going to wait it out. LOL. Thanks again guys.

@CJLove79, just so you know the online check in form is very basic...check this box for estimated arrival time, this one for estimated departure time, check here for high floor or here for low floor...that is about as detailed as it gets. There is no place to add special requests...no place to write in anything! Call Disney and have your requests put on your reservation as soon as you can. Do not rely on online check in for requests. I could swear last time I did online check-in for CBR, there was a drop box for preference of village. I chose Aruba. So maybe in that case, doing it early would matter, I have no idea. Also I could be misremembering because I'm getting old LOL. But I also mentioned this preference when I booked my next CBR stay in a little over 3 weeks from now (ooooooooooh getting psyched!)
