If you are in the room (and do not use the "Do Not Disturb" sign) and do not want your room serviced, they now will ask you to sign to verify they didn't just skip your room. That's why we put the sign out. No early morning knocking. They will check on their final rounds (4 pm) and if it is still on your door they are "supposed" to leave a bag with fresh everything on your door handle.

Ahhhhh. I always wondered what those bags were. Makes sense.

My wife has used a lint roller on the sheets when the front desk didn't believe there was hair on the sheets. If she takes the elevator down you WILL look at that lint roller and get someone in there to change the sheets as soon as we leave for dinner.

On the plus side we had a message from the hotel manager when we returned and he came up to the room as soon as we returned his call. Professional, apologetic, and apparently sincere. Hope he's still with the company. He took a bad situation and turned it into an opportunity.

We had a similar problem in late june staying at cbr. they came in made the beds, replaced the towels, and moved items around on the tv/dresser but didn't take out trash or vac the ton of potato chip crumbs my niece had spilled on the floor.
