Quick 1 Day Trip

Taking the family on a Royal Caribbean Cruise for fall break 26-30 Sept. Decided that since we'd be driving right past DW might as well surprise my daughter with a quick 1 day trip. Staying at Port Orleans (never stayed there), and since Port Carnival is only about an hour away from the park we plan on getting there around 8-9AM. Hope we'd be able to check-in even though check in is at 3. Not picky about the room since we're only there for 1 nite. We haven't been to DW for 4 years and looking forward to it. My daughter is going to scream when she finds out. Hoping with weather will be okay.

you might be able to get into your room--it entirely depends on occupancy the night before. i would recommend doing online check in so you can note what time you are arriving so they can be prepared and hopefully have a room for you. if not, you can of course enjoy the pool and resort amenities and they will store your luggage. not sure which port orleans you are at (riverside or french quarter) but you can use either pool as guests of port orleans, and they are both great. have fun! (riverside is one of my favorites!)

Doubt you can check in, but you never know. It's about 50/50 when we arrive early in the day. I assume since you're taking your daughter that you're doing MK. So have fun and make the mist of it.

Yeah we're doing Magic Kingdom for the day. Thanks for the heads up on the online check in (staying at Riverside). If we can't check in early, we'll just store the bags and hit the park. Got the park tickets in the mail yesterday, now just waiting on the magic bands. We've never used them before.

Great surprise for your daughter. Youll have a blast that day especially if you get into the park early and get to do a lot before the crowds show up. Hope she doesnt get disappointed that the cruise wont measure up to Disney. :p:p:p Have a great time doing both... but next time plan on more Disney days ;););)
