Queues in November?

We are at WDW from 31/10 to 9/11 for our first trip! Can you tell me how long I should expect to queue for the rides and attractions and will I need to be at the park 40-50 minutes before opening , as some of my planning bboks suggest? I have read lots of books with touring plans to beat the crowds but I'm not sure if I will need one at this time of year?
Thanks for any help!

Hi Misti! I will be at WDW at the same time! Whereabouts are you in the UK? Anyhow I have been in Late Nov 3 times and it has always been really quiet so no queues. I think the longest I have waited is 30 minutes to get on Splash Mountain. I highly doubt you'll need a touring plan but I would get to the parks nice and early as they open the gates to avoid bottlenecks at the turnstiles. Are you staying on-site and is it your first visit?

Hi Pippa, Thanks for your reply! We are staying at The Dolphin which I am really excited about! I am just so excited about everything I'm driving everyone nuts!! Wish we were going now!!
I see you are in Eastbourne, we're living on the Isle of Man, although are from Scotland originally! We did live in Basingstoke for 7 years mind you so not so far from your neck of the woods then!
Thanks for your advice about the touring plans, I kinda thought that I wouldn't need to bother but I have got the real planning bug, they should warn you it's addictive! My DH says less planning went into the DDay invasion! He could be right!
I will take your tip about early start however, I'm sure the kids will probably be up at crack of dawn anyhow!
Where are you staying?
Thanks

The 31st might be crowded (Halloween) and near the end of your stay the crowds might build again (school break, holiday, Super Soap weekend). In between should be fine.

You should definitely try to arrive before opening (park hours are not that long when you'll be there) but 40-50 minutes is a bit much. We shoot for 10-15 minutes early. But if you're up already and fed you can head out to the parks earlier.

Thanks for advice, the 31st we're planning to go to Magic Kingdom, probably the least good park if it's to be crowded, eh?
Anyone been to MK on 31st Oct, can you tell me how busy it was?
Pub at Epcot sounds good fun, Pippa, bet they don't sell McKewans Export though!!

I can't honestly remember which beers they sell but they sold Wotsits and Golden Wonder crisps! in one of the british shops they sell KitKats,Aeros and the like in case, like me, you need a chocolate fix! ( But they are V expensive )

I've never been at Halloween before so wouldn't know about the crowds, we are planning to do Pleasure Island that night.

Only 129 days to go!!!!!!!!!
